*Please remember to stay safe! Follow our parade safety tips!*
The SNNA Memorial Day Parade is a great event for neighbors of all ages! If you plan to join us as a parade participant or a spectator, please keep these safety tips in mind to ensure the well being of yourself and your family.
  • Speak with your children about the parade before you go. Prepare them for loud noises from the marching band and participating emergency vehicles. Set boundaries–a good rule of thumb is to keep your children within at least an arms reach during the festivities.
  • Parade participants may throw candy or small toys to spectators as they pass. Please keep a watchful eye on your children to ensure they do not run out into the road to pick up these items. Parents should also check any candy their children catch to ensure wrappers are intact and the treat is appropriate for them to eat.
  • Keep all pets on leashes to ensure their safety and the safety of others around them.
  • Stay hydrated! We will have water stations along the parade route for you and your family to utilize.
  • Consider wearing a hat and apply sunscreen to protect your skin from the sun.
  • Stay off the greenway. The greenway is still under construction and is not open to the public.
